JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will report directly to the Fabrication Lead Hand and/or Fabrication Supervisor and responsible for the fit up requirements of a job observing specific guidelines and tolerances. Review drawings and mark proper welding symbol after fit up for the welders.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe operation of assigned equipment for fit up and detailing.
• Accountable for reading and interpreting drawings to produce a product within specified tolerance.
• Responsible for accomplishing the fit up requirements of a product weldment, as well as the design and construction of intricate jigs and fixtures.
• Use safe working practices as directed.
• Perform assigned tasks under the direction of the Lead hand, Fabrication Supervisor or Fabrication Manager.
• Bring technical problems encountered to the Lead hand, Fabrication Supervisor, or Fabrication Manager.
• Work to improve efficiency to achieve productivity and delivery goals.
• Work at organizing and maintaining personal and company tools, equipment, and work area in a professional manner.
• Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the fabrication manager.

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):

• Journeyman Welder/Structural Fitter.
• 5 Years Experience.
• CWB FCAW and or CWB Tacking ticket or pass initial weld test.

Technical Requirements (software or program knowledge needed)

• Basic Computer knowledge

Competencies Required:

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, codes and specifications.
• Familiarity operating and using welding machines

HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Requirements):

• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Must be capable of repeated bending, stooping and squatting, and standing for prolonged period of time
• Training on overhead crane operation
• Must meet all physical demand of the job
• Required to wear PPE
