Job Purpose
- Direct and lead organization-wide initiatives for influencing warranty processes including Contracts/Agreements, Warranties, and Guarantees while planning for future expansions. Optimize the benefits while ensuring all activities comply with Company policies and procedures throughout the project's handover. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address complex operational insurance claims post-warranty period, facilitating seamless claim resolution and maintaining both operational continuity and financial stability.

- Frequent interactions with Operation, Project Management Team (PMT), Project Management Department (PMD), Asset Management teams, Engineering, Supply, Finance, and Legal department.

- Sustain vital interactions with contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Manage critical relationships with third parties (QatarEnergy, RLIC, Shell, etc.) and their contractors/sub-contractors for facilities under OPCO Operations.

- Role is accountable for Warranty Management and Insurance Claim coordination of all QatarEnergy LNG assets and future projects, obtaining timely resolution and technical internal/external interfaces.
- Major challenges; (1) coping with multiple complex engineering issues and technical interfaces with various Asset entities/owners; (2) ensuring EPC, EPCm contractors' timely and high-quality deliverables meeting operational requirements; (3) Managing third party Warranties for Projects under QatarEnergy LNG OPCO operation.

Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track warranty claim closure progress against set targets, ensuring alignment with Objective, Budget, and Deadline (OBD) goals and objectives.
- Oversee warranty operations to manage all warranty-related activities for projects handed over to QatarEnergy LNG Operating Company (OPCO), spanning CAT I to CAT VI. Ensure shutdown warranty tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and with high quality by the responsible parties.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration by working closely with Asset Managers, Division Heads, Superintendents, Line Supervisors, and other departmental leaders to ensure alignment and resolution of warranty-related issues.
- Maximize financial recovery by leading the team in achieving full financial recovery from contractors and insurers.
- Oversee disputes and back charges by guiding the warranty team on managing back charges and dispute settlements. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain operational excellence.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Resolve interface issues by coordinating with the PMT, PMD, and Operations Expansion & Start-up (OES) departments to address warranty interface challenges promptly, ensuring resolution before PMT demobilization.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance warranty management practices, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
- Establish coordination procedures to develop clear procedures that streamline coordination, liaison, and collaboration across the business unit and QatarEnergy LNG OPCO divisions, ensuring clarity in responsibilities and visibility.
- Act as a contractor liaison by representing QatarEnergy LNG OPCO in discussions with contractors to address defects or deficiencies, ensuring proper remedy and recovery under executed contracts post-project handover.
- Resolve disputed claims through negotiating disputed warranty claims with contractors to reach effective resolutions that align with business objectives. Develop and manage resolution plans in collaboration with all involved parties.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 10 years' experience in all project phases i.e engineering, project management, engineering management, and commercial negotiations, with five (5) years specific involvement in warranties management.
- Good understanding of various contracts/agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a technically complex and multi-ventures environment.
Knowledge and/or Experience - II
Technical and Business Skills - I
- Effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to discuss warranty claim issues.
- Good negotiator with ability to analyze positions with strong engineering analytical skills.
- Excellent engineering, organizational, analytical, constructive thinking, and communication skills.

- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Computer literate, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suites, Primavera.
