Wood is recruiting for an experienced offshore PTW Coordinator on an International Contractor basis, to join our team on an FPSO located in the East Mediterranean Sea.
Required to manage the Offshore Permit to Work (PTW) program, including the preparation / issuance of permits, further site monitoring with respect to compliance to procedures and PTW requirements.

Our client are operating 2 fields, located Offshore East Mediterranean Sea, the operation of the fields is undertaken using a newly-build, spread-moored gas FPSO unit to process gas and associated liquids from subsea wells. Dry pipeline spec gas is produced and piped through a gas export line to an onshore facility in East Mediterranean while the recoverable liquids (light Oil and Condensate) is tandem offloaded into tankers from the FPSO.
Wood are providing the Core Operations, Maintenance and Marine Teams onboard the vessel
Due to working visa requirements and the operating standards in the region we require UK or EU candidates.
Location: Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Rotation / Work Pattern: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off - 7-day week / 12 hour day
Duration: Initially 3 months

RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities;
- Manage the Offshore Permit to Work (PTW) program, including the preparation / issuance of permits, further site monitoring with respect to compliance to procedures and PTW requirements.
- In conjunction with the OIM facilitate the integration of new work tasks from the integrated asset plan and monitor ongoing tasks. In conjunction with department heads coordinate progress and act as the single point of contact for the asset planning team.
- Ensure procedures, systems and equipment are in place to enable the contractors to perform work safely
- Contribute to a high standard of HSE performance by following HSE standards at all times, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents.
- Maintain proper records of all permits and associated certificates raised in connection with operation and project construction activities, including Risk Assessments, Long Term Isolations, etc.
- Audit the permit to work activities to ensure those activities are being conducted in accordance with Onshore PTW requirements.
- Participate in daily shift handover meetings, Tool Box Talks, safety meetings and risk assessments
- Assist in Incident Reports, investigation, identify 'Root Cause' and close out.
- Coordinate with Department heads in scheduling and execution of all shutdown jobs to plan and enable isolations.
- Participate in offshore weekly planning meetings and coordinate close out of all assigned actions
- Participate and contribute to update asset documentation such as P&ID's, layout drawings, and punch lists.
- Conduct site inspections, particularly high risk activities that should be checked daily for adherence to PTW requirements
- Ensure timely registration of permits to avoid delays in work.
- Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the OIM
- Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Act as part of the ERT as designated
- Champion offshore initiative to improve HSE compliance and Production efficiency
- Co ordinate and where required undertake all PTW training
- Lead training including FPSO emergency response drills and exercises.
- Ensure that proper safety induction briefings are conducted for all new personnel.
- Review training and emergency preparedness of the O & M department personnel.
- Regularly review emergency drills and emergency response procedures for the department.
- Advise OIM on environment, health and safety and training issues pertaining to ERT
- Act as FPSO site coordinator for MOC activities relating to procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements for role:
- Recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent Qualification
- Extensive experience in an operational support role with large offshore fixed or floating projects involving multiple disciplines.
- BOSIET & MIST Training
Desirable:
- Knowledge of hazards associated with construction and commissioning of oil & gas facilities
- Ability to apply and ensure compliance of site Permit to Work and Energy Isolation procedures
- Ability to promote a culture to "STOP the job" if anybody feels unsafe
- Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs, C&E, UFDs, PFDs, GA's and other engineering drawings
- Knowledge of QA /QC management principles
- RCA -Accidents / Incident Investigation training. e.g. Helix / TapRoot / Topset / Synergies
- Ability to drive the MOC system offshore
- Experience in running a smooth and efficient control of work system
