This Position reports to:

As Senior Buyer Benelux, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain-driving procurement excellence across our manufacturing sites in the Netherlands and Belgium. What will you do?
You're the linchpin of reliable and future-ready supply-ensuring our production flows smoothly while creating long-term value for ABB. Here's what your day could look like:

✅ Ensure timely supply of direct materials across the Benelux region
✅ Negotiate with key suppliers to secure the best value and performance
✅ Develop sourcing strategies aligned with global category plans
✅ Drive cost savings through smart analysis, lean practices, and contract improvements
✅ Work closely with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to reduce risks and optimize inventory
✅ Lead supplier onboarding and continuous performance evaluation
✅ Support sustainability, localization, and digitalization in procurement ♻️
✅ Monitor KPIs and support monthly reporting

Your team
You'll be part of a driven and professional team of procurement experts operating in the Benelux. You'll work both independently and collaboratively, supported by global category managers, plant teams, and supply chain colleagues. Together, we make things happen-always with an eye on innovation and impact.

Who are you?
You're a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality. You love numbers, negotiations, and nurturing supplier relationships-but you're also a team player who thrives in a dynamic, international environment. You thrive the day-to-day operational tasks that keep procurement running smoothly.

You also have:
✔️ A Bachelor's, Master's, or HBO degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering-or equivalent experience
✔️ At least 5 years of relevant procurement experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
✔️ Excellent negotiation skills and supplier management capabilities
✔️ Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract terms, and risk assessments
✔️ Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
✔️ Familiarity with tools like SAP, Excel, and reporting dashboards
✔️ Willingness to travel occasionally across the Netherlands and Belgium
