We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for monitoring construction activities to ensure conformance to quality standards, performance specifications, and applicable codes. The Construction Inspector will perform comprehensive inspections, document findings, and help ensure projects meet required standards throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing comprehensive inspection duties.
Review construction plans, specifications, and related documents to verify compliance.
Conduct daily field inspections of construction sites, materials, and workmanship.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, measurements, and test results using appropriate documentation methods and software.
Participate in punch list development, testing, and commissioning activities.
Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions, then follow up to ensure resolution.
Track quality assurance progress across all project phases.
Prepare and submit clear, concise, and accurate inspection reports, including daily logs, progress reports, and final inspection summaries.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent plus four years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
NICET Level II certification or the ability to obtain NICET II certification.
Valid driver's license required for travel to project sites, client meetings, and other company locations.
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) review as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts as needed.
Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
