Wood is recruiting a Permit Coordinator (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our Operations business supporting one of our client partners on a long-term brownfield Oil & Gas EPCM Contract and a growing pipeline onshore work in maintenance, operations and engineering. This opportunity is a full-time permanent role based in the client office Perth, WA.

Reporting to the Offshore Superintendent, your key focus will be to ensuring safe and efficient execution of Electrical and Instrumentation activities in a fast-paced, high-compliance offshore environment. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the permit-to-work (PTW) system for electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Offshore Superintendent, your key focus will be to ensuring safe and efficient execution of Electrical and Instrumentation activities in a fast-paced, high-compliance offshore environment. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the permit-to-work (PTW) system for electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
- Proven installation experience within a "Brownfield Site"
- Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, maintenance, engineering and HSE, to facilitate a safe and seamless work execution
- Sound knowledge of multidiscipline installation methods & procedures
- Providing technical input and guidance on Electrical and Instrumentation scopes to ensure safe work practices
- Supporting the development and implementation of isolation plans, ensuring compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Reviewing and validating permit applications, ensuring all risk assessments and control measures are in place
- Ensure all PTW work scopes are in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings / sketches
- Ensure applicable PTW is to complete work scope and in a controlled and safe manner
- Coordinate and monitor Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) in association with Isolation Control Certificates (ICC)
- Monitoring and tracking permit status, ensuring timely close-out and adherence to project schedules
- Conducting field inspections to verify compliance with permit conditions and safe work practices
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records for all permit-related activities
- Contributing to safety meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives

Expected:
- You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.
- A personal and professional commitment to safety
- An ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
- Proven expertise in permit-to-work (PTW) systems and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) isolation processes
- Excellent understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation systems in offshore environments
- Familiarity with Australian offshore regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Tickets:
- Electrical Trade Cert (Cert III/Cert IV)
- EEHA - valid within 3 years
- WA Electrical Workers License
- Provide First Aid - valid within 3 years
- CPR/LVR - within 1 year validity
- BOSIET/T-BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) *valid within 4-years
- MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
