JOB DESCRIPTION

Shop helper will be involved in all aspects of the job from receipt of material to final shipment. Machine shop services customer owned tubulars and tools, i.e. drill pipe, drill collars, and subs with a focus on safety, quality, and production. Required to work indoors and outdoors year-round.

Some duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain record of phosphate services and processes according to SOPs and quality requirements
• Apply hot zinc phosphate and thread compound to newly machined parts/connections
• Maintain and record required levels of chemical titration in phosphate bath
• Help receive and store tubulars
• Aid in recording of identifying information, i.e. serial numbers, dimensions, etc.
• Handle pipe
• Follow all safety procedures
• Remove and replace thread protectors
• General housekeeping

Shifts vary from 8-12 hours and will include nights and weekends.
