Position: Project Manager - Renewable Energy

About the Company:

A leading renewable energy firm in Ireland is expanding its development team and is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee the planning and environmental assessment phase of onshore wind and solar energy projects. The organization is committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions through responsible development and meaningful community engagement, with backing from significant institutional investors.

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project development during the early-stage planning and permitting phases. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, stakeholder engagement, and technical assessments in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants. The role is integral to the successful delivery of projects from concept to planning approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for renewable energy projects.
  • Procure and oversee external consultants, such as planning advisors, ecologists, and other technical experts.
  • Support engagement with local communities, landowners, and planning authorities.
  • Work with internal teams to assess and mitigate project risks.
  • Track project progress and report on key milestones to senior stakeholders.
  • Share relevant project and market intelligence with the broader team.
  • Provide technical input during internal investment reviews and decision-making processes.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in the renewable energy, planning, or environmental sectors.
  • Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of planning regulations and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes in Ireland, particularly for onshore wind projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Independent, proactive, and detail-focused.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
