This permanent, full-time Marine Assistant position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in marine operations or marine administration. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have:
- Class 3 CoC or marine-related diploma
- 1+ years' experience in marine ops or administration
- Strong understanding of ISM/ISPS and marine documentation
- Fluent English communication (spoken and written) is required in order to be able to communicate with crew and the shore-based team
- Highly organised, self-driven, and adaptable
- LNG experience preferred; tanker experience acceptable if role was shore-based
- UK work and residency rights essential
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Maintain records for marine audits, KPIs, SSP/SSAS tests, and insurance claims
- Support emissions and performance reporting within the Fleet Services Team
- File internal and external audit and inspection reports
- Track marine operations statistics and document library inventory
- Assist with marine fleet notices and management reviews
- Participate in emergency drills and take minutes in operations meetings
