We are currently seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager to join the Decommissioning market within our Nuclear EMEA business. Our market provides our clients with sustainable engineered solutions to plant life extension, waste retrieval as well as dismantling and demolition problems across the full project life cycle including commissioning and operation. We can offer our own products and technology to provide innovative solutions the accelerate the pace of change and provide resource augmentation to support our clients and partners.
We have strong capabilities in the holistic design, assessment and substantiation of assets including chemical processes, process equipment and control systems, piping and pressure vessels, safety instrumented systems, mechanical handling equipment, structures, low voltage electrical power systems and building services. We tackle projects that have varied technical challenges and significant nuclear and conventional safety hazards. Our projects require proactive and collaborative working to brilliantly engineer a cleaner, safer, net zero world.

Your Purpose:
- You will be accountable to the Engineering Delivery Lead for the engineering design, assessment and substantiation of technical complex nuclear decommissioning and waste management projects within a portfolio.
- You will act as the Technical Governance Manager for the portfolio, and as such you will oversee the identification, management, and communication of technical risks throughout each project's life cycle, including bid phase.
- You will collate and manage portfolio technical risk and escalate to the Head of Engineering where appropriate.
- You will ensure consistent application of our Nuclear EMEA technical governance frameworks.
- You will monitor the delivery of Engineering project activities and deliverables against cost and schedule and coach Project Engineering Managers to implement corrective action to achieve project milestones.
- You will support and coach Project Engineering Managers to strive for delivery excellence and identify and mentor future technical leaders in collaboration with their Capability Lead.
- You will act as Project Engineering Manager or Technical Lead for the delivery of engineering design, assessment and substantiation of assets within technical complex nuclear decommissioning and waste management projects.
Individual:
- The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in technical leadership, ensuring that our Project Engineering Managers have visible guidance.
- You will have a comprehensive grasp of engineering in nuclear decommissioning encompassing plant life extension, waste retrieval as well as dismantlement and demolition.
- You will be a proponent of our systems-based approach and rigorous in the application of our technical governance frameworks to ensure we deliver to the highest standards.
- You will have a proficient understanding of risk assessment and management techniques to identify, mitigate, and communicate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- You will have leadership skills to guide and mentor project engineering managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and find effective solutions. Communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with various stakeholders. Proficiency in quality assurance processes to ensure the technical integrity and reliability of project deliverables.
