Position: Supply Chain Manager (Nuclear)
Location: Palisades Energy

Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Supply Chain Manager in its Procurement department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Job Summary:
Provides strategic leadership, vision, and direction necessary in the operational Nuclear Generation Plant Site's Supply Chain function ensuring site's financial and operational goals and objectives are obtained. Prioritizes and implements the tasks necessary to deliver quality services to the site. Develops and implements strategic sourcing activities and coordinates and manages site Procurement, Warehousing, and Receiving and operational support response activities. Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the lowest total cost supply base and sourcing competitiveness throughout the sourcing process for the site. Supply Chain Representative with Nuclear Vice Presidents and Directors in site meetings and Operational Control Center.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure all procurement activities are carried out in compliance with Holtec Palisades procurement procedure
  • Ensure compliance with QA process
  • Oversee Purchase Requisitions (PRQ) process in coordination with Engineering
  • Manage the processing of procurement documents including but not limited to PO's, supplier contracts and RFx (RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's, etc.)
  • Manage prequalification of suppliers and service providers in collaboration with QA
  • Evaluate supplier responses to Holtec Palisades RFx and prepare comparative analysis using Balanced Scorecards
  • Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for Holtec Palisades
  • Perform regular performance reviews of suppliers against Holtec Palisades procurement requirements for cost, delivery performance, quality and services
  • Ensure commercial, legal, regulatory, and contractual compliances in all procurement transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Holtec Palisades policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration or equivalent
  • Supply Chain Management Professional SCMP certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of work experience in supply chain and procurement in nuclear energy, power generation or engineering industry
  • Experience of working in regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations
  • Working knowledge of QA programs including ISO, CSA N standards
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B including applicable guidelines and ANSI Standards for nuclear procurement is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access required
  • Experience in Asset Suites highly preferred
  • Procurement Engineering experience or knowledge highly preferred
