KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR's enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract's original prime contractor. Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting prototype and environmental laboratory testing in accordance with established quality protocols. This role encompasses the operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment, performing analytical computations, and ensuring accurate documentation of results. Working under direct supervision, the technician executes routine and assigned tasks while supporting complex procedures to uphold quality, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Perform laboratory testing on prototypes and environmental samples following stringent quality procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including pumps and rig apparatus, to ensure optimal functionality.
• Conduct equipment repairs and perform preventive maintenance to support operational efficiency.
• Analyze test data, execute analytical computations, and document findings with precision.
• Adhere to established laboratory guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and evolving government policies applicable to laboratory operations.
• Assist in complex laboratory procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support non-routine tasks and contribute to process improvements within laboratory operations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Associate's degree in laboratory science, chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline OR equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in a laboratory or related technical environment.
• Proven proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
• Strong analytical and computational skills to interpret data and generate comprehensive reports.
• Ability to uphold laboratory quality control measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
• In-depth understanding of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Experience with prototype testing and environmental sample analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in supporting complex laboratory procedures and technical operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and evolving compliance requirements.
• Knowledge and understanding of water quality testing procedures in accordance with TB MED 577 standards.
