Wood is currently recruiting for a Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Hides, Papua New Guinea on a FIFO rotational schedule (28 days on/ 28 days off).

The successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day operations of a warehouse or distribution center, including managing inventory, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and coordinating with transport providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Plans and controls the Construction interface between site and head office
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
- Providing leadership to the warehouse team
- Driving the Warehouse function to ensure Incident Free Operations, outstanding customer service and cost competitiveness
- Ensuring the key processes within the Warehouse is effective and highly visible.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement for Warehousing
- Compliance with Wood Supply Chain procedures
- Timely issuing and management of required materials to job sites
- Arranging in country material movement from PNG suppliers where required
- Ensuring Goods Receipts in Procurement system and allocation to warehouse location
- Ensure adequate systems tracking of material status whilst materials are in transit and at warehouse
- Maintaining data integrity in Procurement & materials systems
- Assuring material deliveries aligned to inbound transport/supply schedules

Ideally you will have:
- Strong, enthusiastic commitment and approach to personal safety
- Previous experience in a complex Warehouse Management role
- Previous experience working in PNG will be viewed advantageously
- The ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Thorough working knowledge of warehouse management system application Expertise in coordinating risk assessments & JSA's
- Understanding of equipment vendor and materials fabricator storage, handling, preservation and dispatch requirements
- Demonstrates technical expertise, integrity and the ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organization
- Demonstrate the Wood Core Values in daily operations and drive behaviors throughout the Contract and all facets of the supply chain
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to Wood Supply Chain Process and Procedures
- Knowledge of inbound and outbound Goods movement schedules
- Knowledge of warehouse processes and goods storage processes/locations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to relate to a multi-cultural workforce
Additional Requirements:
- While this role is open to Other Country Nationals, preference may be given to candidates aligned with our nationalization initiatives
