About the roleUnique opportunity for a driven trainee to work with the Quarry Manager and develop into a permanent Quarry Supervisor, in this role you will have exposure to overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Bohle Quarry.Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this dynamic and diverse role will support various key functionalities across the Quarry, including maintenance, plant performance, safety, environment, and quality control.This position will fulfill the successful candidate's desire for responsibility and accountability in the delivery of key duties, including supervision and coordination of all daily site activities, leading safety and environmental legislation compliance and implementation of business SHE policies and procedures Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure that company safety standards and procedures are achievedSupervision of staff and contractorsProduction, maintenance planning and on site improvements Assist Quarry Management for site internal and external auditsEnsure all personnel and contractors are inducted and trained for the task they performEnsure daily operations comply with Holcim's SHE requirementsActively participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings and encourageparticipation of contractorsConduct daily pre start meeting with personnel About youPassion for safety - previous employment in a zero harm environmentFlexible with hours of work, including weekends to meet the needs of the quarry operations Communications skills, ability to deal with stakeholders and customers across a broad spectrumCurrently holds or willingness to obtain G1,8,9 (S1,2,3).
