The role of the Archaeologists will play a crucial role, primarily by managing cultural heritage resources and ensuring responsible development practices. You will conduct assessments, identify potential archaeological sites, and mitigate any impact on cultural heritage during the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Site Survey: Identifying potential excavation sites using aerial photography, geographical surveys, and historical records
- Excavation Planning and Management: Organizing and implementing excavation projects, including managing staff, students, and volunteers
- Excavation and Artifact Recovery: Carefully excavating, documenting, and preserving artifacts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Recording and Documentation: Maintaining meticulous records of excavations, including maps, photographs, drawings, and electronic data
- Data Analysis: Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from excavations to build a broader understanding of the site and the past
QUALIFICATIONS

Ideally you will have:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree
- Consulting experience, with a focus on PNG heritage
- Excellent research and site analysis skills
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must have full work rights in PNG to be considered for this role.
