Environmental Conditions
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.

The Offshore Insulator/Carpenter removes, installs, and repairs insulation on piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems on offshore platforms in the Gulf of America (GOA), previously known as the Gulf of Mexico.
Essential Functions
- Remove, install and repair insulation on piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems (tanks, heat exchangers, vessels)
- Fabricate and install wool blankets for valves, flanges, and piping
- Measure, cut, remove, and install sheet metal with both bands and screws
- Familiar with different types of insulation/applications: cal-sil, foam glass, perlite, etc.
- Work with blueprints, ISO, P&ID drawings, & insulation specifications
- Insulation take-off using drawings and or BOM
- Travel offshore via helicopter or boat
- Keep a clean work environment and provide quality workmanship
- Demonstrates a safety-first mindset and adhere to established safety protocols
- Participate in pre-job meetings
- Help as a rigger/fire-watch when needed
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, talking, hearing and seeing
- Turning, twisting and bending
- Pushing, pulling and reaching
- Must be able to lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of offshore carpentry/insulation experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass background checks to company policy
- Reliable transportation to and from the heliport/crew change location
- Valid TWIC card
Desirable Experience/Training
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Strong Communication Skills
