1. Brief description:  
   
   

This role is to manage the design and construction of a small - medium scale data centres for the Client.   

 

The Senior Project Manager shall report Directly to a EMEA Director for the delivery of upgrades and expansion works.  

 

The role shall encompass but not be limited to the following: 

• Production of Outline Budgets and Programmes for Future Upgrades and Expansion Works 
  
  

• Project design brief and design development, coordination of design team and other consultants. 
  
  

• Coordination and management consultants for of any levies, development contributions, permitting, Authority Approvals etc. 
  
  

• All aspects of Construction phase delivery of projects. 
  
  

• Managing HS&E and coordinating Local HSE responsibilities. 
  
  

• Detailed Programming of works and production of project execution plans. 
  
  

• Developing detailed cost plan, packages, schedules and budgets, with the relevant Cost Management Partner. 
  
  

• Overview and Management of subcontractor, material, labour, plant and prelim schedules and trackers. 
  
  

• Management and Procurement of Major Capital Plant. 
  
  

• Overview and Management of Risk Registers. 
  
  

• Procurement of main contractors, materials, labour, plant and prelim. 
  
  

• Manage and monitor project progress, quality and compliance with building regulations. 
  
  

• Manage contractor agreements, applications, valuations, certs, with-holding certs, payments and variations, with the relevant Cost Management Partner. 
  
  

• Managing utility provider appointments and designs. 
  
  

• Liaising with local authorities and relevant State agencies and departments. 
  
  

• Managing any Environmental and Sustainability documentation and certifications. 
  
  

• Liaising with in house Real Estate, solicitors, client / purchaser representatives, managing sales documentation and closings. 
  
  

• Site Go Live procedure and hand over to Local Authorities. 
  
  

• Developing in Joint Venture arrangements.

• Commercial Support – Cost Consultants, dependant upon Size of Project 
  
  

• Independent Commissioning and QAQC Agent 
  
  

• Main General Contractor 
  
  

• Independent Project Manager – dependent upon Size of Project    
  
  

• Suppliers of Main Capital Equipment, i.e. MV Switchgear, Transformers, LV Equipment, Generators, UPS, Chillers, CRAC Units and PDU’s etc

1. General Information 
   
   

Project management of the full region and individual projects (from getting permits approval, getting things done in safe conditions/procurement/internal & external reporting/high level of Quality/time/budget). Key Considerations for Role shall include but not be limited to the following: 

• Flexibility to travel between Countries and Project site, including outwith this region to support other area 
  
  

• The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge or the equivalent. 
  
  

• Be skilled in matrix working where resources are not under direct control. 
  
  

• Experience in MS Office, MS Project, Change Control & Document Management Systems 
  
  

• Knowledge of Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, and Operational Excellence Preferred Requirements. Experience with project managing of Mission Critical Projects would be an advantage. 
  
  

• High level of Focus on Health and Safety required on site including HSE in Design 
  
  

• High level of Focus on Quality expected 
  
  

• Ensuring the good coordination of the stakeholders listed above. 
  
  

• Mitigating any risk of impacts on the live infrastructure / customers 
  
  

• Being active on any business case preparation 
  
  

• Ensuring a good reporting of risk & progress of the project
