The Technical Sales Lead - Well Services is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across Algeria and Tunisia, focusing on Rigless Interventions, Thru-Tubing Fishing & Milling, Completions, and Field Rejuvenation services. This role combines deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver tailored customer solutions, drive revenue growth, and strengthen customer relationships. The individual will lead the development of go-to-market strategies, manage sales cycles, and ensure operational alignment across both countries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consultation and customized solutions for thru-tubing, well rejuvenation, and rigless intervention services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring client satisfaction through proactive communication, service reviews, and technical support.
- Lead client engagements including technical presentations, workshops, and tech days to promote early involvement and solution alignment.
- Manage full sales cycle including identifying leads, preparing proposals, presenting solutions, and closing contracts.
- Conduct market analysis to support forecasting, product development, and investment decisions.
- Drive business growth through strategic sales planning, performance monitoring, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal systems and processes (e.g., Salesforce), accurately tracking customer interactions, opportunities, and post-tender feedback.
- Develop and manage budgets, prepare business cases, and deliver competitive, high-value tenders.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing regular intelligence updates to leadership.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of rigless well intervention, TT fishing and milling, and well completion techniques
- Excellent relationship management and client-facing communication skills
- Strong commercial mindset with experience in tendering, contract negotiation, and profitability planning
- Proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms
- Ability to lead technical discussions and deliver effective presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills for market assessment and strategic planning
- Strong project and time management abilities across multiple regions
- Knowledge of Weatherford mature field services is a strong advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related oilfield discipline; a degree in Business is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of oil and gas industry experience, including 5 years in a similar technical sales or business development role
- Proven experience in managing complex client accounts and delivering value-based technical solutions
- Demonstrated success in growing market share and driving high-margin sales
