JOB DESCRIPTION

M/D Totco is a division within NOV that specializes in providing instrumentation, visualizations, and data aggregation to remote sites around the world. Ensuring we have robust and secure connections between local and remote devices is critical to our business model.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Identify hardware and software applications to safely exchange data between remote sites, data centers, and cloud hosts.
• Visit field stores and sites to maintain a good understanding of technician capabilities and customer expectations.
• Regularly create, review, and revise internal technical documentation.
• Manage repositories for software and configuration files associated to our products.
• Create and maintain standardized deployment and maintenance processes for our Operations and Customer Support personnel to execute.
• Occasional travel for product testing and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Line, and Operations to ensure compliance with network & security infrastructure.
• Independently plan and execute lab and offsite test procedures as required.
• Create and communicate accurate and achievable project schedules and plans. Projects may include multiple components and/or deliverables.
• Develop and deliver training curriculum to field and support personnel.
• Provide 3rd tier support during off hours if necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-location networks
• 5+ years of experience in commissioning and supporting VSAT/LTE/Wi-Fi installations
• Competent with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
• 2+ years of experience with routing, creating firewall rules, and applying security policies
• 2+ years of experience with centrally managed networks

Preferred Skillsets:

• Experience with Linux, Docker, and other IoT focused applications
• CompTIA & NSE certifications preferred
• Familiarity with Modbus, OPC-UA, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Experience configuring & deploying mesh wireless nodes
