This is a 1099 Contractor Position - On-call - Per Storm Event

Responsibilities
This position encompasses two primary roles: Driver and Wire Guard.
As a Driver, you will collaborate with a Damage Assessor to identify and evaluate damaged utility infrastructure following a storm.
As a Wire Guard, your responsibility will be to secure areas with compromised electrical wires or equipment, ensuring public safety. You will remain on-site until utility crews arrive to carry out the necessary repairs.
Comprehensive training in safety protocols for both the host utility and AXIS Power will be provided. Please be prepared for extended on-site hours when called to work.
This role requires travel at all times, and your work schedule may vary, potentially including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Drivers/Wire Guards will receive comprehensive training in relevant safety protocols established by both the host utility and AXIS POWER.

- 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Capability to mobilize quickly following a storm event
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with remote teams
- Physical capacity to work extended hours under adverse conditions
- Proficiency with mobile technology
- Smartphone with an active data plan
- Capability to cover travel and meal expenses (if applicable)

- Pay: $30/hour door to door
- Vehicle hourly pay
- Per diem as per our Contracts
