    About the Role:
  • The role is required to support the program ILS activities including development of ILS documentation, review of Prime Contractor deliverables and planning for transition of support.

    The tasks which this role shall be responsible for are likely to vary as the projects progress and requirements change, however may include any aspects of ILS planning, development and contract execution within the Project environment from the requirements determination stage through to capability delivery and planning for transition of support responsibility.
  • The required services may include, but are not limited to:
  • ILS Plan update
  • Develop Transition Plan
  • Prime Contractor Data Item deliverables review
  • Support systems analysis (including sparing and maintenance evaluations)
  • Contribute to FIC (ILS) inputs to Capability Life Cycle (CLC) process
  • Understand and clarify logistics policy and legislation for stakeholders within Defence
  • Businesses case and scope development, costing and contracts and procurement activities
  • Draft responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics management

Qualifications and Experiences:
  • Sound understanding of the ILS Support System Constituent Capabilities (SSCCs)
  • Sound understanding of the role of ILS in a Defence Acquisition Project environment
  • Development of ILS documentation (such as ILS Plans, ILS Concepts, Integrated Logistics Support Instructions, etc)
  • Exposure to and understanding of the Australian Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) template suite
  • Conduct of Supportability Analysis (such as Level of Repair Analysis, Spares Analysis, Maintenance Evaluation)
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Basic Life Cycle Cost modelling and analysis
  • NV1 Clearance
