Let me tell you about the role

As a Staff Enterprise Technology Engineer, you are a digital expert bringing deep specialist expertise to bp. Enterprise Technology Engineers work on the strategic technology platforms we exploit from the market or come with deep skills in the implementation and integration of market solutions into our overall technology landscape. You will bring a broad base of Digital technical knowledge and a strong understanding of software delivery principles. You will be familiar with lifecycle methods, with Agile delivery and the DevOps approach at the core. You will be skilled in the application of approaches in the delivery and operation of the technologies you deliver, working as part of multi-disciplinary squads.

What you will be doing

  • Drive hands-on development of sophisticated features and customizations
  • Lead design and implementation of reusable components, services, and libraries
  • Design integration flows using REST, platform events, and external services
  • Apply advanced Apex patterns for scalable, maintainable architecture
  • Resolve complex metadata conflicts and ensure high deployment success rates
  • Guide developers on reuse, standardization, and documentation
  • Enforce code quality and technical debt cleanup through reviews and automation
  • Collaborate with BAs, Admins, QAs, and multi-functional teams for feature delivery
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standard methodologies
  • Full development lifecycle across orgs
  • Active role in CI/CD, version control, and metadata management
  • Work closely with product owners, testers, and architects
  • Provide effort estimates, technical insights, and mentoring

Required Skills

  • Expert in designing and developing scalable Apex classes, triggers, and complex LWCs
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform features, security model, and governor limits
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce APIs, integrations, and external systems
  • Proficient with SFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Able to perform metadata conflict resolution and deployment solving
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce packaging, unlocked packages, and modular development
  • Able to identify and reduce technical debt through refactoring and design reviews
  • Experience in building shared libraries, frameworks, and automation assets

Certifications

  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I, II
  • Any two Salesforce designer level certification
  • Any two Salesforce consultant level certification
  • Salesforce Application Architect
  • Salesforce System Architect
