As a key member of our Technical Support team, you'll assist clients and service personnel globally, focusing on troubleshooting, testing, upgrading equipment in the field, and offering expert guidance on control and electrical systems.

At the core of NOV's Aftermarket group, the Technical Equipment Support Services (TESS) department delivers swift and effective solutions around the clock, supporting rigs across the globe. Leveraging tools such as Tracker and eHawk™ Remote Support, we minimize downtime through remote diagnostics and real-time issue resolution. Our team also works closely with Service Engineers on-site, offering critical insights and direction to address technical challenges efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support for cranes and winches, emphasizing control and electrical systems
- Assist field service teams in equipment troubleshooting, testing, and upgrades
- Recommend equipment improvements to Engineering based on field insights
- Identify necessary components for repairs or scheduled service in collaboration with customers and internal teams
- Liaise with Engineering to align on solutions that meet customer requirements
- Support remote diagnostics and on-site guidance, leveraging digital tools and platforms
- Travel to customer locations as needed to support service operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Professional certification or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field
- 3+ years in Field Service, Installation & Commissioning, Technical Support, or similar roles
- Background in the offshore or maritime industry is highly desirable
- Proficient in PLC systems and knowledgeable in electrical/control system troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning
