Job Purpose:
Work closely with foreman, multiple craft crews, and F&G engineers and designers. Job scope includes but is not limited to coordination and logistics for the F&G inspection and testing crew, cost tracking, coordination of repairs, documentation completion & verification, and other "non-PM" F&G related work. The position is based in the Anchorage office and may include occasional travel. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Hilcorp assets (if required) is provided. Room and meals are provided while at Hilcorp assets.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide effective safety leadership to assigned teams.
• Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.
• Provide input and or direction to the F&G inspection and testing crew.
• Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.
• Examine work and material for regulatory compliance and accurate specifications.
• Assure project compliance with Hilcorp and WORLEY specifications and standards, including verifying appropriate documentation of inspection, testing and maintenance as required by the International Fire Code and applicable NFPA standards.
• Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to safety, procedures, work execution and efficiency.
• Direct interface with the client.
• Provide cost tracking reports to Hilcorp as requested.
• Document, track, and coordinate identified system deficiencies for correction and closure.
• Make certain that all incidents are promptly reported.
• Continually seek improvement in work processes.
• Attend and participate in planning meetings and job walk downs.
• Measure work progress, efficiency and effectiveness using various programs,
• Work effectively and efficiently with foreman.
• Responsible for recording and reporting labor hours and impacts to foreman.
• Examine work and materials for compliance with job and safety specifications.
• Perform safety and productivity observations including STOP, shop, field, and vehicle inspections.
• Attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
• Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge and thorough understanding of Fire Alarm and Suppression system installation, maintenance, and testing.
• Ability to use tools and equipment applicable to Fire and Gas related work.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, vendor data, and technical data sheets, etc.
• Able to demonstrate general knowledge of: NFPA Standards, the Alaska Administrative Code, and OSHA safe work practices associated with safety systems; The functional operation, maintenance, and repair of fire & gas suppression systems such as sprinklers, clean agent systems, fire pumps, fire extinguishers, water mist, foam deluge systems.
• Knowledge of Hilcorp and Worley specifications and standards, ASH standards and all applicable Hilcorp and Worley procedures and policies.
• Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access and client software programs.
• Well versed in general operations and safety practices and policies, as well as specific knowledge of procedures and standards applicable to the Fire and Gas craft technical and safety policies.
• Ability to communicate clear direction to work crews, management, and client representatives.
• Advanced leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and lead Suppression Technicians.
• Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
• Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to demonstrate support for the company's environmental management system.

• Four (4) years' experience in fire suppression systems, inspecting and maintenance.
• Two (2) years' supervisory experience required, with ability to lead, supervise and direct skilled craft workers.
• Must have one of the following State of Alaska Fire Systems Permits: 2B, 2C, 3B, 3C.
• Must possess or obtain State of Alaska Level III Fire extinguisher permit within 90 days of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.\
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two (2) years Fire and Gas experience in the petrochemical industry or experience in hazardous locations
• Two (2) years arctic work experience
