This Position reports to:
Operations/Supply Planner

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will have a key role in Smart Buildings, Electrification, Enclosures and Distribution Business Area.

This role involves providing assistance in the development of the planning and fulfillment processes.

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager you will ensure the efficient planning and fulfillment of products required by customers, focusing on performance improvements such as on-time delivery, lead time reduction, forecast accuracy and supply plan optimization. You will support production scheduling, material planning, and inventory optimization while driving improvement initiatives and ensuring high customer service levels and leading Supply Planning within ABB's Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, including Anaplan deployment.

Your main tasks will be:

• Identifying bottlenecks, trends and root causes for non-performance, and driving improvement initiatives in Planning & Fulfillment
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reports for planning and logistics performance using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
• Support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and capacity analysis with data-driven insights
• Create an accurate schedule considering the customer needs, mains service metrics (ROTD & Past Due Orders) and material availability according to supply chain constraints. Releases production orders in SAP and tracks the plan vs. actual production
• Calculating and maintaining inventory parameters in planning systems and ERP systems: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies
• Minimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans
• Collaborate with operations, procurement teams to improve supply chain efficiency and provide forecast to SCM team to facilitate a correct material planning strategy
• Opportunity to be involved in improvement projects related to logistics area

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Management or equivalent
• Good IT skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel is essential preferable advanced)
• Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Customer-focused, action-oriented, and systematic approach to process improvement, standardization, and deployment, with digital awareness and analytical skills
• Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-cultural environment, to tight deadlines and able to deal with multiple issues
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in German and English
• A deeply collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
• First working experience in SCM or Planning & Fulfillment would be considered as a plus
• First experience with supply chain or logistics data analytics, familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP PP/MM/SD/WM)
• Basic knowledge of forecast Tools (i.e. Anaplan,..)
