Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to own, direct, and develop the sales team by positioning Emerson, Pressure Management products, and solutions as the supplier of choice in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

This role includes driving sales growth in new key-identified customer accounts, with a particular focus on further growing the extensive installed base in the territory. The position will require systematically developing, supporting, and implementing growth strategies to achieve or exceed targeted quota & stated objectives/goals. Responsibilities include providing customer support, achieving business quota, driving strategic programs, developing new business opportunities, and assisting the team. Opportunities can range from targeted greenfield & brownfield projects, NG-CNG-LPG market, upgrading the existing installed base, displacement, and supporting the customers' Life Cycle Service (LCS) requirements. Engaging with customers. Collaborating with the wider Emerson organization and the local sales organization represented by the Local Business Partner (LBP) will be key for the successful execution of the job function.

The successful candidate will be posted at Emerson's Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) office. This role will report to Emerson's Regional Vice President, with a dotted line reporting to Sales Director, PRM, Middle East, and Africa. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Responsible for providing leadership to the Pressure Management Business Unit (PRM) sales team, supporting the regional business development strategies, growing business, and serving the customer in Saudi Arabia & Bahrain.
  • Ensure Emerson Values, Ethics, and trade compliance procedures are closely followed in all business transactions.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding territory financial objectives as required in support of the Pressure management Business unit MEA business plan, and aligned with regional requirements
  • Preparing the annual order booking quota, communicating the strategic plan, reporting marketing forecasts, conducting pricing surveys & collecting competitor/market intelligence
  • Will have the ownership of annual entity order booking and reporting, reviewed monthly, and measured quarterly.
  • Responsible for taking a proactive role in defining winning strategies for Greenfield and Brownfield Projects, as well as supporting Destination project pursuit activities. Plan and implement the aftermarket (MRO & LCS) business and improve revenue and profit from the current installed base. Developing the project and Turnaround opportunity funnel for 3 years to have early engagement and visibility.
  • Responsible for developing business with diverse industries, including Power, Chemical, Metals, Paper, Cement, etc.
  • Responsible for tapping the emerging Gas market potential (Natural Gas, CNG & LPG for transportation, storage, and distribution), by winning Pressure Reduction & Metering Skids, CNG skids, selling NG & LP Products, developing the partner and distribution/the stockiest network.
  • Lead, support, and collaborate with the sales team and Local Business Partners (LBPs) across the region to drive performance and shared success.
  • Register Emerson Saudi PRM manufacturing (SPARK) facility as an approved facility with customers and support the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
  • Support the Business Development Manager, MRO & LCS, to plan spare parts business inventory (stocking program) for growing sales through the PDC (Parts Distribution Center).
  • Have or acquire product knowledge to develop sales and situational fluency to support the team, and make customer presentations, with the support of Product Business Development Managers (BDMs).
  • Collaborate closely with other Emerson Automation Solutions Business Units to bring alignment, participate in marketing /promotion events, and achieve common goals.
  • Develop long-term relationships with senior management with all partners (customers, EPCs, Contractors, LBPs, etc.) to ensure awareness of the capabilities of the Business Unit and influence buying decisions.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by understanding, communicating, and providing solutions to their needs.
  • Develop & report site plan, accounts plan, and implement Site Walkdowns plans
  • Use and promote automation of internal activities by using available tools like CRM, MyAsset, Site Walkdowns, Installed Base tool, etc.
  • Travelling and meeting customers is a key responsibility to develop relationships and promote value for selling Emerson products, solutions, and services.
  • Ensure and meet the clean order and compliance requirements. Support collecting the overdue payments as per the agreed terms of the PO/contract and resolving customer disputes.
  • Return on investment: supervise the newly installed base. Assist customers in cataloging, pursue winning spare parts orders. Engage early in customer turnarounds/shutdown plans.
  • Internal Requirements: Recognize and celebrate the team's outstanding contributions. Undertake training to lead the team and conduct the customer site visit requirements, including offshore oil & gas fields. Attend and present at internal meetings and training, which include BU, FCTL & Emerson MEA events. Act within the delegation of authority (DOA), handle the internal data and reporting requirements, which include presenting the DOA, central initiatives, and the opportunity funnel in internal review meetings. Coordinate to publish success stories through internal portals.

Who are you?
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and growing territory.
  • Proficiency in English (Read, right, and communicate).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Power BI.

For this Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an engineering field.
  • Confirmed ability, selling experience with Oil & Gas, and diverse industries.
  • Confirmed sales experience in the same region, industry, and business will be considered advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Industrial and Natural Gas Regulators, Pressure Relief Valves, and the process industry.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Graduate in Business Administration (MBA or MIM -master's in management).
  • Proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
