Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas," we have communicated specific, motivated growth targets for service in the coming three years. To meet such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.

The Global Service LEAN team plays a key role in enhancing our Service Business's ongoing improvement and excellence in execution. We coordinate the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and execute breakthrough improvements based on proven methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma

Responsibilities

You will join a team of Lean Professionals / Specialists located across different regions, all working together to enhance Operational Excellence within the Service business. While maintaining high standards of Safety and Quality, you will collaborate with employees, colleagues, and stakeholders globally to implement our Service Lean roadmap.

Your responsibilities in your region will include:
  • Developing and executing the Service Lean NCE Onshore roadmap
  • Deploying Lean tools, coordinating Kaizen events, and identifying training needs
  • Reducing operational costs by implementing Operational Excellence projects and concepts, aligned with Global Transformation Plans and Cost-Out initiatives
  • Sharing best practices from Offshore operations with teams globally


Qualifications

To meet the expectations for this role, you should have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Change Management (Lean), with a history of delivering impactful results
  • Experience working in both onshore and offshore environments
  • Previous managerial experience will be beneficial
  • A valid driving license - B category


Competencies

On the personal level, you possess the ability to persuade others and have advanced interpersonal skills.

You should have experience in change management and implementation, as well as in coordinating improvements based on Value Stream principles. You should have the ability to communicate the next steps for future development to our technicians.

In addition, we are looking for the following competencies:
  • Certification, formal education, or practical experience in continuous improvement disciplines
  • Advanced skills in implementation and facilitation
  • The ability to create meaningful influence and build strong connections with our workforce
  • Capability to follow up on initiatives across different countries or regions
  • Proficient communication abilities, both in writing and speaking, in Polish and English language
  • Candidates must possess the flexibility to travel during business hours, as necessary

Additional information

Ideally, you will be based at our office in Szczecin, Poland. However, we are open to considering other locations close to Szczecin.
