Now Hiring: General Superintendent - Commercial Solar Projects (Central Valley, CA)
Travel: Daily travel across Central Valley | Company truck provided
Industry Veterans & Electrical Leaders Strongly Encouraged to Apply

At MARS Energy Development, we build large-scale solar projects and we're looking for a field-tested General Superintendent who knows how to lead crews, solve problems on the fly, and get the job done right the first time.

This isn't a desk job. This isn't a punch-in, punch-out gig.
This is boots on the ground, sleeves rolled up, all-in leadership - for someone who takes real pride in quality work, clean installs, and a crew that runs like a machine.

If you're done babysitting disorganized sites and ready to run real solar builds, read on.

What You'll Own:
  • Command and control of daily operations across multiple active solar EPC sites - electrical, civil, and structural scopes.
  • Lead from the front - guide field teams, subcontractors, and foremen with authority and respect.
  • Keep jobs moving - zero excuses, zero safety compromises, zero rework.
  • Coordinate project schedules, crews, subcontractors, and equipment to maintain progress and reduce downtime.
  • Own safety - toolbox talks, site audits, and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Interpret drawings, spot issues early, and hold subs accountable to quality and timelines.
  • Report progress, escalate problems fast, and keep projects on track.
  • Travel up and down the Central Valley as needed. Clean MVR required.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years in commercial or utility-scale construction, with at least 2+ years running crews as a Superintendent or Foreman.
  • Strong electrical construction background - NEC knowledge is a must.
  • Proven experience managing multiple job sites and subcontractors successfully.
  • Able to read plans, enforce specs, and solve real-world jobsite problems without micromanagement.
  • Sharp communicator - comfortable being the boots-in-the-dirt point of contact between the field and the office.
  • Tech-capable - familiar with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
  • OSHA 30 preferred. NABCEP or PMP a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will be located near the Modesto/ Merced area with the ability to travel up and down the Central Valley to active job sites. Work vehicle will be provided. MUST have clean MVR.

What You Get:
  • A company truck for jobsite travel
  • Field autonomy with executive support behind you
  • A high-impact role in a fast-moving, growing solar EPC
  • Respect for your work ethic, not just your resume

No hand-holding. No endless meetings. Just real work, real builds, and real impact.

If you're the kind of person who sees a messy jobsite and tightens it up, takes pride in a perfectly installed array, and holds your crew to high standards because you hold yourself to them first - we want you on our team!
