Job Description

Shape the Future of Manufacturing with AtkinsRéalis.

AtkinsRéalis is a global engineering and project management consultancy leading the way in energy infrastructure, sustainable development, and Net Zero solutions. We're hiring a Senior Project Manager to deliver high-profile projects across nuclear energy, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and decarbonisation.

In this role, you'll manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee the full project lifecycle-from design and procurement to installation and commissioning. You'll work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

We're looking for candidates with proven experience in energy project management, particularly within regulated environments. Strong leadership, commercial acumen in design and build (D&B) contracts, and the ability to manage supply chain delivery are essential. Flexibility to travel across the UK is required.

At AtkinsRéalis, we offer a collaborative and inclusive work culture, flexible working arrangements, and career development opportunities. We're committed to diversity, equal opportunities, and supporting professionals returning to STEM careers.

Your Purpose:

Your Role is Designing the Future of Manufacturing. We're seeking a Senior Project Manager with a passion for designing and delivering world-class manufacturing plant and facilities. In our Nuclear & Power Division, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams on high-profile projects that support the UK's energy transition and industrial innovation. From advanced manufacturing plants to cutting-edge production environments, your work will help shape the infrastructure that powers progress.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience in project management of manufacturing plant and facilities from design through to procurement, installation and delivery, ideally within regulated or complex environments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and build trust with clients, partners and key stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to managing project performance, risk, and change, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality.
  • Experienced in effective commercial management of D&B contracts and supply chain delivery.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to mentor others and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK and adapt to project needs.

Why work for AtkinsRéalis?

The UK is the first major economy to legislate for a Net Zero target by 2050. To achieve this, our Energy Teams are ensuring a mix of secure and sustainable energies that can meet our industry and lifestyle demands today, and in 30 years' time. We help to power our world through exciting new technologies and intelligent cybersecurity systems on projects that vary greatly in size, scope, and scale. So, you'll be creating the right safe and resilient systems across nuclear power, renewables, decarbonisation development, new builds and energy efficiency.

We value your diversity and believe that everyone deserves to thrive - no exceptions. You'll be part of a culture committed to finding new talent from underrepresented groups. We're Disability Confident, an Inclusive Employer, and support STEM Returners. We also want to see more women in senior roles at AtkinsRéalis. In the energy sector, we've signed up to the AXIS Pledge, promising to make equal pay, equal leadership, and equal opportunities a reality.

Security clearance:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer. If applying to this role please do not make reference to (in conversation) or include in your application or CV, details of any current or previously held security clearance.

We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves, thrive and develop. To help embed inclusion for all, from day one, we offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements and employee networks to support staff from different backgrounds. As an Equal Opportunities Employer, we value applications from all backgrounds, cultures and ability.
