About the roleWe are looking to engage an experienced Quarry Manager to join an expanding team.You could be a Geraldton resident or someone looking to DIDO or FIFO from Perth.In this key role you will hold direct responsibility for all aspects of operations at the Quarry - focussing on maximising the performance of people, plant, and fleet to achieve company safety, environmental and financial targets whilst delivering required customer service standards and performance outcomes.As a leader of Health, Safety and the Environment you will also be accountable for budgeting and production targets, customer and community relations, quality compliance, crushing and screening, drill and blast, maintenance, stockpiling, load out and quarry development.You will lead a multidisciplinary team(including a strong contractor base) with the aim of providing an efficient and effective production process in a safety focused environment and you will work closely with other operations in the business to develop strategies and deliver operational goals for the region.This leadership role is perfect for someone looking for the next step in their career or looking to apply their existing skills and experience in an important role in a large operation. A deep and diverse management structure affords a great number of pathways available as you progress your career.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure that company safety standards and procedures are achievedSupervision of staff and contractorsProduction, maintenance planning and on-site improvements Quarry Management for site internal and external auditsEnsure all personnel and contractors are inducted and trained for the task they performEnsure daily operations comply with Holcim's SHE requirementsActively participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings and encourage participation of contractorsConduct daily pre-start meeting with personnelAbout youHold a Quarry Managers Certificate, a SSE (Site Senior Executive) notice or sufficient experience to obtain a notification.Strong safety leader with working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, relevant legislation and regulations.Excellent people management & communication skills.Experience in quarry operations.A thorough understanding of Drill & Blast and Quarry development.Practical mobile crushing and screening exposure.Budgeting, cost analysis and P&L management experience.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined environment to deliver productivity and cost improvements.Have a strong customer focus and be able to work well with sales and technical teams to deliver key business objectives.Why join Holcim?Our strength is our people - their expertise and skills, their ability to find innovative solutions and their commitment to high performance.
