Do you have a strong performance mindset and intrinsic motivation to collaborate with business to help drive improvements? Then we are looking for you! We seek a champion to help us meet our company`s trade compliance standards. As CTCO you will operate as subject matter expert and you will play a key role in overseeing and supporting our Local Business to ensure compliance, to develop their trade related capabilities and integrate trade critical compliance requirements in the daily operational processes. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all local businesses conduct their activities in line with ABB trade policies and guidelines, as well as to drive and coordinate the local implementation of ABB`s Global Trade Program. Key focus is the oversight of compliance with all applicable customs, sanctions and export control regulations and to regularly update local management and global trade compliance/trade management on (potential) risk areas and mitigation options.

Your responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for national trade compliance authorities, country management, and local business leaders across all ABB operations.
• Implement and maintain the ABB Trade Program using a risk-based approach tailored to local business needs, including compliance procedures and training.
• Develop strategies to monitor and mitigate trade compliance risks, conduct internal audits, and promote awareness across the organization.
• Ensure trade compliance is well-structured and resourced at the local level; support and guide local trade compliance officers (LTCOs).
• Oversee transaction-level compliance in customs, export control, sanctions, and embargoes through collaboration with LTCOs and other departments.
• Ensure proper classification of all imports/exports and maintain accurate trade data in line with national and international regulations.
• Ensure compliance records are archived and retrievable as required.
• Support the effective use of ABB's trade compliance systems (e.g., SAP GTS), including automated screening and customs management tools.

Qualifications for the role

• Master Degree in Business, Legal, Supply Chain Compliance or other discipline of relevance in relation to Trade Compliance and Trade Management
• Several years of experience with business processes and a good understanding of end-to-end supply chain process, risk management and logistics
• Several years of experience with people management and/or functional leadership
• Significant knowledge of export control, sanctions and customs rules and regulations is essential
• Fluency in the Czech and English language is mandatory. SK language skills are considered a plus.
