This Position reports to:
PEQR Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a team of software developers and test engineers, both locally and in close cooperation with the global R&D team in the Drives division in Jüri. You will ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed following expectations, specifications, standards, and safety requirements, while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Your responsibilities:

• Build and continuously develop a high-performance software engineering team.
• Coach and support engineers by using your management and communication skills.
• Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive dialogue and excellent service.
• Support Scrum teams using agile methods, actively participating in teamwork to ensure project success and product quality.
• Follow the scaled agile method in global software development
• Foster strong cooperation with other ABB R&D units globally and ensure continuous knowledge sharing between people and teams.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technologies, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Experience in line management, product/project management, or software engineering.
• Familiarity with agile methods and tools.
• Knowledge and experience in electric drives and embedded software design are valuable advantages.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• A significant emphasis is placed on maintaining safety in the workplace and following safety protocols.
• High levels of personal initiative, curiosity, and an interest in discovering new technologies.
