As Associate S/4 Release Mgmt. Analyst, you will play a vital part in the successful delivery of system changes by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of release management processes. You will work closely with functional consultants, technical developers, basis administrators, testers, and project managers to ensure the smooth, controlled, and timely transition of configurations and developments across the SAP landscape (Development, Quality Assurance, Pre-Production, Production). What you'll be doing
- Release Coordination: Support the scheduling, coordination, and communication of release activities according to the program's release calendar and methodology
- Transport Management Support: Assist in tracking SAP transport requests (TRs) through the landscape using SAP Transport Management System (TMS / CTS+); help identify dependencies and potential sequencing issues
- Process Adherence: Learn, follow, and help enforce established release management processes, procedures, and quality gates
- Documentation: Maintain accurate release records, checklists, status reports, and associated documentation
- Communication: Assist in communicating release schedules, progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders under the guidance of the Senior Release Manager
- Meeting Support: Help organize and participate in release readiness reviews, Go/No-Go meetings, and other release-related forums; assist with taking notes and tracking action items
- Environment Coordination: Liaise with Basis and testing teams to ensure environment readiness and coordinate testing cycles associated with specific releases
- Issue Triage: Assist in the initial identification and logging of issues encountered during the release process
- Tool Usage: Utilize relevant tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager ChaRM (if applicable), ServiceNow, MS Excel/Project) for tracking and reporting release activities
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience working within an IT environment, preferably with exposure to SAP systems
- Experience gained within an SAP S/4 transformation project (implementation, upgrade, or support) in capacity of Release Management associate is highly advantageous
- Experience working with project management or ITSM tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Hands-on experience on CHARM tool to move the changes and manage the Transport Request
- Thorough knowledge of SAP SolMan tools such as Focused Build, CHARM, FB RFC
- Familiarity with SAP Transport Management System (TMS / CTS+)
- Exposure to SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), especially Change Request Management (ChaRM), Focused Build
- Expert in Focused Build features like Project Management, Test Management, Deploy management.
- Prior exposure to SAP S/4HANA concepts or modules
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Direct experience in a release coordination or change coordination role is a strong plus, but not mandatory if other relevant SAP experience exists
- SAP Fundamentals: Basic understanding of SAP system landscapes (e.g., DEV, QAS, PRD) and the concept of SAP Transport Requests. Familiarity with navigating the SAP GUI
- Process Orientation: Ability to understand, follow, and execute defined processes meticulously.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to articulate status and potential issues effectively
- MS Office Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel (for tracking/reporting), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles (e.g., ITIL framework - certification is a plus).
- Should be aware of Integration scenarios between Business Process tools and Project management tools such as ADO, Blueworks/BizzDesign
- Awareness of DevOps Model, CI/CD development and deployment model in BTP
