Who are we looking for? A resource to be placed in our Milan office as part of the Global Business Unit "Supply & Energy Management".

What will you be in charge of:

Portfolio representation:
  • Lead the development of a digital representation for the B2C portfolio, integrating commercial processes into a cohesive and actionable framework.
  • Work closely with the Pricing team on a weekly basis to align portfolio strategies with commercial objectives, maximizing EBIT, portfolio growth, and customer retention.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Customer teams to enhance data retrieval for forecasting processes, and with Portfolio Managers to improve the representation of customer portfolio market exposure.
  • Work closely with Energy Management team to ensure an accurate economic representation of the portfolio for risk management purpose
  • Perform specific data analysis in order to drive commercial or risk management decisions

Technical Collaboration and Platform Development
  • Partner with the Technical team (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers) to maintain and scale the forecasting platform.
  • Leverage productivity and development tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Miro, Microsoft Teams, and GitHub to streamline workflows and project execution.
  • Utilize data management and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Collibra, Power BI) to enhance portfolio analytics and reporting capabilities.

Leadership and Documentation
  • Lead and mentor a development team responsible for portfolio modelling, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of projects, processes, to ensure transparency and scalability.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder management, and aligning initiatives with company-wide objectives.

Cross-Country Coordination
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams in France (FR), Belgium (BE), and the Netherlands (NL) to align forecasting, platform development, and process improvements.
  • Actively participate in stream improvement initiatives to enhance portfolio performance across regions


What will you bring to ENGIE?
  • Education: bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
  • Experience: minimum of 3 years experience in the field of energy portfolio management, risk management, or a similar role within the energy trading or utilities sector.
  • Technical Skills: proficiency in data management and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Collibra, Power BI) and experience with productivity and collaboration tools (Atlassian Suite - Jira, Confluence, Miro, Microsoft Teams, GitHub).
  • Analytical Skills: proven ability to perform big data analysis leveraging low code instruments.
  • Leadership: demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Communication: fluency in Italian and English, with excellent stakeholder management skills, and coordinate with international teams.
  • Risk Management: understanding of energy market risks (volume, price, commercial, operational) and mitigation strategies.
  • Preferred requirements: experience in the B2C energy sector and familiarity with digital transformation of commercial processes / knowledge of European energy markets and regulatory frameworkk / fluency in additional languages (e.g., French) is an advantage.
  • Personal Attributes: strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative mindset, detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage complex datasets and projects, collaborative team player comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to balance short-term tactical decisions with long-term strategic goals.
