Regional Sales Manager Opportunity Summary:
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager of Power Generation who will direct and coordinate all activities related to the domestic sale of power generation equipment (standby generators, continuous duty generators, portable continuous duty generators, combined heat and power generators, switch-gear, transfer switches, and any other power generation ancillary equipment) within the Southwest Region of WW Williams. Works closely with key team members, including the General Manager of Sales for Power Generation and the Manager of Engineering and Sales Support, to develop and maintain a satisfied and loyal customer base, an effective marketing path, and strong support from our OEM business partners. Position reports to the GM Sales of Power Generation.

Job Duties:
- Work with the GM Sales of Power Generation, Sales, and Marketing to develop appropriate financial goals congruent with the needs of the company. Develop strategies and identify tactics necessary to achieve these goals. Monitors and manage plan achievement throughout the plan year, taking corrective action as needed to ensure that financial objectives are met.
- Collaborate with the GM Sales of Power Generation, Sales, and Marketing to develop all OEM-required business plans related to power generation; monitors progress and take corrective action as necessary.
- In concert with direct reports, develops individual financial goals for all reporting sales personnel. Assists in developing strategies to achieve these goals.
- Conduct interviews, hire, and review team members performance. Create new positions as needed to ensure goals are met, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Coaches team members and with regular communication. Assists in meeting their needs for technical and customer support. Helps them develop strategies and techniques to win business and follow up properly to ensure customer satisfaction. Evaluates team members' sales techniques and assists with customer calls, negotiations, and closing deals when necessary.
- Provide an environment in which team members can be self-motivated to achieve goals and improve their capabilities.
- Determines individual and group training needs and establishes both in-house and external programs to ensure that team members receive the training they need for maximum performance.
- Develops efficiencies and manages cost controls within the sales process. Monitor and approve significant expenses related to the sale of power generation products. Manage the departmental budget.
- Coache subordinate team members to achieve optimal results. Provides an environment in which team members can be self-motivated to achieve goals and improve their capabilities.
- Reviews monthly operating results against forecast to identify areas of focus and improvement.
- Report operating results to the GM Sales of Power Generation, Sales, and Marketing, which includes but is not limited to new business wins and losses, revenues, margins, and other performance indicators. Communicates pressing issues with urgency where response times are of the essence, regardless of day or time of day.
- Manages and approves sales commissions for sales team personnel.
- Ensures acceptance of new systems such as CRM management and OEM business portal tools.
- Evaluate and report escalated customer, employee, or OEM issues to ensure timely resolutions with the best possible outcomes.
- Helps identify strategic growth opportunities such as territory expansion, new OEM product lines, or potential acquisitions.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related generator sales management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, & customer service
- Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
