One of our Covington clients is looking for an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Installer. The position is located in Boutte, LA. You must be available to work other locations. This is a full time temp to hire position from 7:30am to 4:00pm M-F. NON UNION APPLICANTS ONLY.

The HVAC Sheet Metal Installer will plan, layout, repair and install sheet metal duct fittings and duct that are required, as well as set indoor and outdoor commercial units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consults blueprints to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed.
• May do layout of fittings and duct, including manually locating and marking dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal, duct board, flex and duct pipe.
• May receive equipment/materials on site.
• Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, wiring and piping as directed.
• May install assemblies on site according to blueprint specifications using hand tools and portable power tools.
• Inspects assemblies and installation work for conformance with plans, specifications and trade standards using naked eye as well as measuring tape.
• Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
• Working conditions are normal for a construction environment.
• Provide your own tools.
