Global Senior Project Lead (Managing Director) - PV Power Plants

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Access to Energy Institute (A2EI) is preparing to launch a dedicated EPC spin-off to deliver large-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants worldwide. Over the past seven years of operations, we have identified steadily growing international demand for PV installations exceeding 10MW, often complemented by battery storage to enhance grid stability and energy access.
Our vision is to deliver reliable, locally adapted PV projects built to the highest standards by combining high-quality German-engineered technology and expertise with strong local installation and operations partners. The company aims to operate with a team of up to 30 employees and a strong network of freelancers, delivering 1 GW of EPC services each year across 20-30 projects.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Lead who is excited to help create and shape this new organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects end-to-end and apply your detailed knowledge of PV power plant design and construction while building the foundations of a lean, sustainable, and high-impact business. During your first 12-24 months, we will have the opportunity to explore a potential promotion to Co-Managing Director together.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and planning of PV power plants over 10MW
- Oversee construction and commissioning phases, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met
- Drive the integration of German-engineered technologies and know-how into project delivery, while collaborating closely with local partners
- Contribute to defining the new EPC organization's strategy, processes, and culture
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders worldwide
- Travel internationally as needed to support project success
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and constructing PV power plants
- Solid understanding of potential challenges in planning, building, and commissioning large-scale projects
- Strong interest and capability in international and intercultural collaboration
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for frequent business travel
- Leadership experience and the ability to guide and inspire teams
