We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Associate to support our growing team in South Korea. This role will be responsible for a wide range of HR operational tasks, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Korean HR practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Compensation Support:

Collect and validate monthly payroll inputs in coordination with the payroll vendor. Maintain and update Staff Cost Rate (SCR) data for accurate budgeting and reporting.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
  • Manage local job advertisements and coordinate with recruitment vendors.
  • Support onboarding processes including background checks and welcome arrangements.

Visa & Expatriate Support:
  • Prepare and submit documentation for visa applications and renewals for expatriate employees (approx. 12 annually).
  • Liaise with immigration authorities and legal counsel as needed.

Compliance & Documentation:
  • Submit social insurance documentation via the local government platform using the company's digital certificate.
  • Coordinate quarterly mandatory compliance training, including vendor management and logistics.
  • Compile and submit the legally required Disabled Employee Hiring Report twice a year.

Employee Engagement & Welfare:
  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement events and internal communication
  • campaigns.
  • Promote annual leave usage through creative communication and tracking.
  • Support annual medical check-ups and liaise with healthcare providers.

Tax & Legal Reporting:
  • Assist with the year-end tax adjustment process, including employee communication and data collection.
  • Handle HR-related communication with the local labor office and ensure timely submissions.

General HR Administration:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS updates.
  • Coordinate congratulatory and condolence services, including vendor payments and ceremonial arrangements.
  • Support internal and external HR audits and ensure documentation readiness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Korean labor laws, social insurance, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems; experience with local government platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in Korean and English (both written and verbal).
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
