This Position reports to:
Global BL Manager - Low Voltage System

Are you a strategic sales leader with deep expertise and network in the pulp & paper segment? ABB's Low Voltage System Drives business is seeking a Global Sales Manager to lead our global commercial approach in this key segment. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans to grow market share and profitability with a focus on OEMs and local system integrators involved in greenfield and brownfield projects worldwide.

Working closely with ABB's Local Sales Units, you will map the market, identify and prioritize key accounts, and drive coordinated commercial actions across regions. You leverage deep industry expertise in front of customers together with our Local Sales Units to ensure that ABB's value propositions and support meets the evolving needs of the pulp & paper industry.

The work model for the role is: hybrid; travelling is required up to 30-50% for this position.

Your role & responsibilities:
  • Drive Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a global sales plan for the pulp & paper segment, identify key market players and target accounts, and ensure account plans are in place to grow market share and profitability
  • Leverage Domain Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of pulp & paper applications to support local sales units, enhance customer interactions, and improve win rates through technical and application insights
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand customer needs, and tailor solutions and business models accordingly
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Local Sales Units to drive sales initiatives in collaboration with other division and business line teams


Qualifications for the role:
  • Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field is advantageous; fluent in English; additional languages are a benefit
  • Proven Sales Experience: Extensive background in international sales or business development within the pulp & paper industry
  • Strong Commercial Skills: Demonstrated business acumen, networking, communication, and influencing capabilities
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong general technical understanding, experience with electric motors or Variable Speed Drives is a plus
