Turbine Operations Central is a sub department of Technical Operations Central, supports the Service and Construction business in Central with technical knowledge and acting as the link between R&D and these local business units.
The team consists of more than 40 team members. The main areas of support are turbine troubleshooting and software support.
Responsibilities
You will be leading a cross-border team of experts and you will be the one point of contact for any type of Turbine operations issues in Service Central. Further, your primary responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities
You will be leading a cross-border team of experts and you will be the one point of contact for any type of Turbine operations issues in Service Central. Further, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Strive to offer Turbine Support to the Central Service department aimed at promoting the highest level of customer satisfaction for all parties involved
- Lead and motivate your team to perform remote solutions efficiently and effectively
- Enable your team to work in a matrix and cross-regional organization and establish/share best practice within the functions
- Continuous optimization of processes and workflows in Turbine Operations Central
- Conduct both managerial and technical supervision of the Central Technical Support Engineers and the leading members of support teams, promoting continuous skill development within the team
- Communication, implementation and tracking of regional as well as global projects, such as strategy, harmonization and cost-out initiatives, deliver input for CIM initiatives and optimizations, reduction of downtimes on turbines
- Development, introduction and monitoring of global initiatives such as lean management, cost reduction, platform management, etc.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with previous experience in a support management role
- 5+ years of experience in a technical support organization with a high customer focus
- Experience in building up a tier-structured technical function and in optimizing multiple interfaces
- Experience in project management and systematized problem-solving methodology (e.g. 8D or DMAIC)
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written
