We are seeking a Oilfield Facility Decommissioning Construction Manager (EIR Environmental Engineer 4) to join our Modesto, CA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee oilfield decommissioning activities involving multiple subcontractors and internal team members.
  • Communicate project changes with project management team.
  • Manage quality and Health Safety and Environment to achieve zero incidents.
  • Ability to understand project scope based upon task order objectives and contract.
  • Proactively identify project issues and develop options for corrective action.
  • Procure additional follow-on work of varying types from clients/stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics, resources, and personnel to support oilfield facility decommissioning projects.
  • Plan and oversee any surface reclamation activities required after well abandonment.
  • Ensure that all oilfield facility decommissioning activities adhere to applicable environmental regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards during oilfield facility decommissioning.
  • Promote an environment where Atlas team members establish relationships and build trust with clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning, daily activities, oversight, and reporting.
  • Provide detailed notes and figures of work scope completed each day.

Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience focused on aboveground oilfield facility decommissioning work, including pipelines and ASTs.
  • Experience collecting soil samples for waste profiling and/or soil characterization.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders; including regulators, contractors, and other engineers.

Technical requirements:
  • Experience with complex remediation projects.
  • OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.
  • Familiar with SharePoint, MSFT Excel/Word, and PDF documents.

Other miscellaneous qualities:
  • Must be local to Bakersfield, CA or the surrounding area.
