SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician II performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on all production equipment and systems within the facility. This individual is fully competent to perform duties independently. This role will work on HVAC, Cooling systems, and Electrical systems and conduct regular PMs and repair maintenance as necessary.
Hours: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm (OT as Required) - $3.00 Shift Premium for 2nd Shift!!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair operations across mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose complex issues in HVAC, cooling systems, and electrical infrastructure with speed and accuracy.
- Ensure all equipment meets operational safety and performance standards.
- Ability to perform more advanced troubleshooting and repairs independently or with occasional help/guidance.
- Able to develop and implement basic maintenance projects as needed. (Ex. Design and create guard rails, fixtures, etc.)
- Find and implement ways to cut costs within the department.
- Learn to recognize and correct potential problems and malfunctions by adopting proactive vs. reactive mentality.

- Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
- Understands and adheres to UAI 5S manufacturing practices.
- Understands and adheres to UAI employee handbook policies.
- Can follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs.
- Can record time accurately including "time and attendance" and "labor reporting" using the data collection system.
- Can perform general building and grounds maintenance.
- Mastered use of all required equipment and hand devices.
- Can inspect and clean all equipment.
- Can perform all preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected.
- Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Proven experience in HVAC, chiller systems, and electrical systems.
- Comfortable handling multi-voltage environments (110V / 220V / 480V).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Electro-Mechanical degree preferred or a strong technical background.
- 2+ years of maintenance or equivalent experience
- Must be familiar with metal fabrication concepts and processes.
- Must have experience with maintenance of fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
- Moderate CSI skills - modifying SRO's, looking up past P.O's., orders, etc.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% minimum
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
- Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions.
- Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements.
- Frequently required to work on equipment that may contain live electrical parts, high pressure vessels/piping and spring loaded apparatuses. Ability to read, comprehend and implement lock-out tag-out procedures is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- This will be an onsite position in Seguin, Texas.
- If selected for the role, a drug screen and physical will be conducted.
