Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a specialist to join our team at the European Operations Center in Ostrava to handle order processing. You will provide support to sales representatives, respond to customer inquiries, and carry out complete order processing for spare parts in the fields of mining, mineral processing, and cement production (electrical and electronic components, frequency converters, automation elements, circuit breakers, industrial controllers, etc.). In this position, you will work in an international team environment and communicate daily in English.

The European Operations Center is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which performs engineering for units across Europe and employs more than 800 employees. The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Proces Automation in Ostrava.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Preparing materials for creating a business offer tailored to customer needs
  • Creating spare parts business offers according to internal price lists
  • Coordinating and customizing orders using inputs from various departments (sales, product management, legal department, technical support, project management, logistics)
  • Ensuring orders are in line with the company's budget and profitability
  • Processing customer orders from order placement to delivery
  • Preparing and managing sales support documentation
  • Continuously monitoring order progress, coordination, and reporting
  • Ensuring timely shipment of material orders
  • Invoicing delivered orders, invoice settlement
  • Creating export and import documentation
  • General fulfillment, archiving, and administration according to department requirements
  • Responding to technical and non-technical customer inquiries regarding spare parts


Qualifications for the role
  • Secondary / University education
  • Multitasking is your strength
  • Previous experience in sales or purchasing
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Previous experience with ERP system SAP or another
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken at least B2 level
  • Customer and results-oriented
  • User knowledge of MS Office tools
