At Vestas, a seasoned company in wind energy, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Customer Project Execution team within the Mediterranean region (MED).
Location: Based in Madrid (hybrid model - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scope: Execution of wind farm projects post-sales, through construction and commissioning, until handover to the Service team
Geographic Focus: South and East Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Key Responsibilities:
Project Scope: Execution of wind farm projects post-sales, through construction and commissioning, until handover to the Service team
Geographic Focus: South and East Europe, Middle East, and Africa
- Manage the full execution of wind energy projects after contract signing, ensuring compliance with timelines, cost, and quality requirements
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and subcontractors, managing all aspects of project delivery and communication
- Oversee the management of contracts, addressing scope modifications, risk reduction, and ensuring conformity with FIDIC or comparable EPC guidelines
- Monitor project progress, financials, and forecast accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Vestas' standards in health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures on-site
- Support the tendering process with inputs on project planning, risks, and contract scope
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure supplier and subcontractor compliance
- Use tools such as SAP, MS Office, and Primavera (Primavera knowledge is valued but not mandatory; SAP is more critical)
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and construction in renewable energy or large infrastructure
- Extensive background in contract management (FIDIC or turnkey contracts)
- Fluency in English and Spanish; knowledge of other MED-region languages
- Proficient organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Availability to travel internationally depending on project demands
- Experience with SAP and MS Office required; knowledge of Primavera
- Engineering degree is valued but not a requirement—experience and contract management skills are more important
