Role Summary:
BP Oil Hellenic is seeking a Pre Airfield Operations Coordinator to manage and support the company's secondary fuel distribution network across commercial, military, and general aviation (GA) airports in Greece and Cyprus, as well as oversee projects in East Med. In addition, the role will deal with HSSE and technical requirements related to our activity in the subregion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily coordination of Jet A-1 and Avgas deliveries to airports via road tankers.
• Inventory monitoring at all destination airports and planning of loading schedules.
• Liaising with hauliers, GA stations, and internal logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply.
• Full lifecycle management of GA infrastructure projects: planning, procurement, commissioning, and handover.
• Drafting and managing Throughput Storage Agreements (TSA) with GA customers in collaboration with legal and finance.
• Monitoring and managing inventory at the Aspropyrgos terminal.
• Technical involvement in the commissioning and delivery of new BP road tankers.
• Close collaboration with BP's central SAP and contracting teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards.
• Handling monthly cost reconciliation and government subsidy applications.
• Leading driver training sessions and annual haulier workshops focused on safety and compliance with BP Aviation Standards.
• Supporting internal and external audits (BP, JIG, military).
• Delivery of capex projects implemented in East Med
• Preparation of technical and HSSE KPIS
• Technical involvement in the repair of existing aviation fueling vehicles, commissioning and delivery of new ones.
• Leading training sessions and workshops for operation and maintenance depot personnel in compliance with BP Aviation Standards.
• Entering data in SAP related to secondary transport activity (eg cost of routes, vehicles) , monthly data control, reconciliation and agreement with haulier
What We're Looking For:
• Diploma in engineering
• Fluent in Greek and English
• Strong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams and external partners..
Interested candidates should have a hands-on approach, technical confidence, and the ability to take ownership of critical supply chain functions across the aviation network.
You will work with:
The employee who will assume this role will become part of the broader Operations and Transportation team of Air BP for the East Mediterranean region. The primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of transportation activities, as well as other related functions of Air BP in the area.
This position involves regular communication and coordination with various internal and external stakeholders, including contracted hauliers, drivers, airport depots, vessel owners, storage facilities, and the Primary Transport team.
Given the nature of the role, the employee will actively participate in cross-functional working groups, each of which serves a specific purpose. Indicative groups include:
• The SEIMEA Operations Team
• The BP Secondary Transport Group
• The Air BP Vehicle working Group
