Senior Project Manager- Remote

Initiative: Equitable Program Development and Community Stakeholder Engagement

Is travel required for this position: 100% Remote

2 Years Contract

Pay Rate: $50 - 75/hr

Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

What skills are needed to be successful in this role?
  • Deep knowledge of concepts, terms, principles and practices related to energy efficiency and distributed clean energy technologies.
  • Experience with the research and development, policy innovation, and deployment of energy efficiency and distributed clean energy technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with community stakeholder engagement and/or community planning.
  • Proficiency in writing and concretely synthesizing and translating technical information for multiple audiences including industry stakeholders and the general public.
  • Proficiency with developing strategies, recommendations, and communicating and presenting information for executive review.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of program evaluation design and meeting facilitation.
  • Competency with fundamentals of project management, business communications, and reporting; and
  • Ability to stay well organized.

Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?
  • Proficiency with research and assessment of the applications and limitations of clean energy policy, regulatory, technology and program best practices and models in the context of limited resource and disadvantaged communities;
  • Knowledge of how to assess and be responsive to community needs.
  • Ability to identify barriers to clean energy access along with potential solutions.
  • Proficiency with multiculturally competent facilitation of community engagement and input through workshops, interviews, focus groups, and surveys;">Knowledge of and experience with community benefits plans and agreements.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local policy and governmental programs related to environmental justice, clean energy, and infrastructure.

Are there any skills or tasks that the resource needs at start of engagement?
  • Ability to come up to speed quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others toward shared goals. Active listening. Meeting facilitation. Humility.

Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree
  • Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of experience in clean energy and community planning, or comparable work experience.

IT systems that will be used

Required systems experience:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Acrobat

Training will be available on:
  • Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • CLIENT self-service operations and procedures Knowledge Base (Confluence)
  • CLIENT's contracts and financial records system (Oracle/PeopleSoft - NEIS)
