Main Activities:
- M anage most complex account reconciliations . Addres s corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B/S, payments).
- Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
- Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
- Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
- Review Chevron customers' taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance
- Leads , coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedure s
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or tax
- Combination of + 4 years of tax accounting , finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skill s
- Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP)
Preferred qualifications:
- US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience
- Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills
- Analytical skills and critical thinking
- Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
