This permanent role will support the safe and efficient navigation, cargo operations, and marine performance across a modern LNG fleet. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:
- Minimum 24 months' experience sailing as Chief Officer and/or Master on ocean-going LNG carriers
- Valid Master Certificate of Competency (STCW Reg. II/2)
- Completion of a SIGTTO LNG Operational or Management course is an advantage, but not a requirement in order to be shortlisted.
- In-depth understanding of LNG cargo handling, navigation, ballast operations, and mooring practices
- Experience in conducting or supporting marine audits, investigations, and terminal compatibility assessments
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and planning skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Supporting safe and efficient marine operations across assigned LNG vessels
- Advising on navigation, mooring, and cargo handling practices
- Performing marine audits and investigations, including cargo and navigation audits
- Conducting ship-shore compatibility studies and supporting terminal readiness
- Working closely with the commercial team to assess vessel-port compatibility
- Participating in pre-briefings for Masters and Chief Officers, performance monitoring, and training initiatives
- Acting as the first point of contact for marine-related issues onboard and ashore
