The Role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Graduate Draftsman to join our Design and Drafting Team in Houston, Texas (Energy Corridor). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that supports a variety of clients, projects, and internal business partners. Leverage your CAD knowledge to deliver quality design drawings, using the latest in CAD technologies and techniques. Learn from one of the most experienced, diverse, and recognized subsea design teams in the industry. Entry level position with significant potential for growth and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical Responsibilities

• Edit drawing redlines assigned by Discipline Supervisor and/or Design Drafting Manager.

• Support the design team by issuing drawings in accordance with our procedures via email to our document control team.

• To work collaboratively within a team of designers, engineers, and project managers.

• Follow proper CADD data management, consistent with internal processes.

• Participation in project meetings and workshops.

• Maintain status awareness of project drawings and coordinate delivery with other disciplines within the design team.

Expected:

• Minimum 6 months working experience with Autodesk Inventor 2018 or newer

• Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills

• Self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• A general understanding of subsea oil and gas collection infrastructure
