These experts are organized together in a center of competence, the Chapter, to keep E.ON's code base modern, secure, and excellent.
Join the product team behind E.ON's IoT Cloud Platform. We connect thousands of devices, stream their data in real time, and run cloud-native analytics that sharpen energy management and boost operational efficiency across the entire company.
Your Role - meaningful & rewarding
- Own new micro-services in an agile, multi-site DevOps team-write the RFC, build and test the code, and configure observability and alerts
- Build high-throughput back-end services on Kubernetes with Kafka and gRPC
- Add features and tune performance for services on E.ON's IoT platform
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders to share and gain knowledge
Your Profile - authentic & open-minded
- Experience in production coding in Go and Java
- Experience on at least one hyperscale cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Confident with Kubernetes and one or more of: Kafka, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, time-series DBs, Flink
- Solid grasp of HTTP, REST, gRPC, OAuth 2.0; able to craft secure, performant APIs
- Proven record delivering scalable, cloud-native back-ends with a "build-run-own" DevOps mindset
- Experience with IoT, big-data platforms or energy systems, please highlight in you CV. Great if you've got it; not a deal-breaker if you don't
- Languages: English (business-fluent), German (B2 or better)
